Amithyst has been in the beauty industry for over 17 years, striving to build strong connections with every individual that visits her chair. From the impressive beverage selection, to the cute vintage tea set, to the perfume selection in the restroom, Amithyst loves to play with the little details that make her clients smile and feel special.
Dedication to furthering her education continues to be the driving force of Amithyst’s career. She was previously a Bumble and Bumble Network Educator, sent to New York to receive education to share with her fellow stylists at Spanish Fly Hair Garage and Maverique (formerly Lush Salon and Spa). While working at those salons, she was the Creative Director, charged with planning all creative events, including shoots and shows. Her first passion was color, learning Vidal Sassoon techniques from Rowena, of Rowena and Takashi, a former Vidal Sassoon Educator in Santa Monica. Amithyst went on to realize how much she enjoyed creating a totally cohesive look for every individual by cutting, coloring and applying extensions.
Now celebrating her seventh year as a salon owner, Amithyst can also be found embracing her other creative outlets, making art, cooking or refinishing a piece of furniture.

Michon Barbagelata has been a skin care professional for more than five years. She received her esthetician license from the Paul Mitchell School of California in 2012. To enrich her talents, she went on to complete the Clinical Program at Concepts Institute of Advanced Aesthetics in San Francisco. After a yearlong mentorship under Rhonda Allison educator Devin Romero gained her hands-on experience, intensive product knowledge and enhanced instincts for skin-perfecting treatments, Michon returned to Sacramento.
Michon’s passion for skin first took shape while working the front desk at a spa. She noticed the restorative, lasting effects of skin care services—both outside and in—and vowed to learn the trade and make it her own. Nuturing skin health in a way that highlights a person’s natural beauty has since become her own personal mission and mantra.
Most recently, Michon has fallen in love with quality eyelash extensions, trained by skilled makeup artist (and member of the Amithyst extended family) Mandie Fenrich.
